THE BEST WAY FOR A CHRISTIAN TO LIVE (RUTH 1)

HOW TO LIVE A LIFE OF HUMILITY (RUTH 2:1-13)

In Ruth 2, the text shows us the first time Ruth and Boaz met. Two people who could not be further apart in their circumstances both display Godly character through their humility. As we walk through Ruth 2, we will read through the events that take place and see how this is not a hallmark style romance, but rather, an example of how to live with humility despite your circumstances.

THE "BORING" NATURE OF REDEMPTION (RUTH 3:1-13)

The book of Ruth is nested between Old Testament stories full of seas parting, fire shooting out of the sky and lions mouths being shut by God. Read through the Old Testament and you will find plenty of examples of God doing amazing things. But then you have Ruth, which in comparison, could be seen as quite "boring." As we read through chapter 3, we will study how even though this story may not live up to the earth shattering stories we are used to, it will teach us an extremely valuable lesson of what real God honoring redemption looks like.

THE GOSPEL ON FULL DISPLAY IN RUTH (RUTH 4:1-12)

How does Ruth 4 provide us with an example of the gospel? As we finish our study on Ruth, we will walk through how the deal Boaz makes with "the redeemer" is a beautiful display of redemption. This example helps us to reflect on Christ's redemption of us. The difference is, we are nothing like Ruth.
