HOW TO PRAY (MATTHEW 6:5-13)
Prayer is an essential part of the Christian faith. When Jesus speaks about prayer, it is clear that it was expected that believers prayed. But how do we pray? What does prayer look like? What should you pray about? These are all important questions to answer if we are going to have an effective prayer life. In Matthew 6:5-13, we break down how Jesus teaches us to pray and apply it to our lives today.

WHY DO CHRISTIANS SING? (ROMANS 12:1-2)
Most likely, when you come to a normal church service, you will be asked to stand and sing a few songs at the beginning of the worship gathering. Have you ever thought to ask why? Why do we sing? Pastor Joel Close teaches us why Christians sing in the beginning of a brand new series we are calling "Rooted."

THE DANGERS OF PRAGMATISM (DANIEL 1:1-7)
In life we find ourselves measuring success based on an endless amount of measuring sticks. Measuring sticks that usually were given to you. As men specifically, we are constantly being beaten down by the pressure put on us by the standard our world has set for what it means to be a man. The unfortunate truth is that many of these measuring sticks are misguided. In this sermon, we break down some of the common measuring sticks that we as men use to define our masculinity, and test them agains thr Word to see if they are truly misguided manhood.

THE GOSPEL ON FULL DISPLAY IN RUTH (RUTH 4:1-12)
How does Ruth 4 provide us with an example of the gospel? As we finish our study on Ruth, we will walk through how the deal Boaz makes with "the redeemer" is a beautiful display of redemption. This example helps us to reflect on Christ's redemption of us. The difference is, we are nothing like Ruth.

THE "BORING" NATURE OF REDEMPTION (RUTH 3:1-13)
The book of Ruth is nested between Old Testament stories full of seas parting, fire shooting out of the sky and lions mouths being shut by God. Read through the Old Testament and you will find plenty of examples of God doing amazing things. But then you have Ruth, which in comparison, could be seen as quite "boring." As we read through chapter 3, we will study how even though this story may not live up to the earth shattering stories we are used to, it will teach us an extremely valuable lesson of what real God honoring redemption looks like.

HOW TO LIVE A LIFE OF HUMILITY (RUTH 2:1-13)
In Ruth 2, the text shows us the first time Ruth and Boaz met. Two people who could not be further apart in their circumstances both display Godly character through their humility. As we walk through Ruth 2, we will read through the events that take place and see how this is not a hallmark style romance, but rather, an example of how to live with humility despite your circumstances.

WHY IS GOOD FRIDAY CONSIDERED GOOD? (LUKE 23:26-49)
Why is Good Friday, good? The best way to answer that question is to get a birds eye view of the entire story that God has laid out, and to see that this was the plan all along, Jesus is our foreshadowed Passover Lamb.
